I’ve seen this done many times on craftster, and I feel this would be a perfect first official sewing project to do. The materials are cheap (all you need is a giant tshirt that you probably already have and never wear), the instructions are simple, and I think the whole idea of making and cutting patterns intimidates me, so this will definitely be more approachable.
And if you’re not much of a dress person, here’s a cute top out of the same giant t-shirt.

I gotta try these out. I’ve got some shirts that I won’t wear even around the apartment. =P
